Henoch-Schönlein purpura is a vascular disease mainly found in children. Its etiology remains uncertain but several theories exist. The vascular inflammation is caracteristised by a petechiae ras called purpura. Other common symptoms include fever, fatigue, arthralgia and abdominal pain. Generally patients, recover from purpura in two to four weeks and the treatments are supportive, however digestive or renal complications are possible. The major complication is severe renal impairment. The most appropriate treatments for these complications remain to be elucidated. Le purpura d'Henoch-Schönlein (ou purpura rhumatoïde) est une vascularite principalement retrouvée chez l'enfant. Son étiologie reste encore incertaine mais de multiples pistes existent. Cette maladie se traduit par une inflammation des vaisseaux qui provoque des pétéchies caractéristiques appelée purpura. D'autres symptômes tels qu'un état fébrile, de la fatigue, des arthralgies et des douleurs abdominales sont assez fréquents. En général, ce purpura évolue positivement après 2 à 4 semaines, la prise en charge est alors symptomatique. Cependant, des complications majeure est l'atteinte rénale qui peut être sévère dans certains cas. Le choix du traitement de ces complications reste encore très controversé.
